BIO.

Lucid Safari are a Brisbane/Meanjin band weaving indie-rock grit with dreamlike textures, balancing raw energy with melodic depth. Fronted by songwriter and guitarist Daniel J. Lewis with Alex Cremin (bass) and Nic Ross (drums), the band are pushing into a new chapter marked by darker grooves and sharper edges.

In April 2026, the band expanded it’s lineup with the addition of keys player Issy Morrison, introducing new textures and depth both in the studio and on stage, and marking a defining evolution in their sound and live show.

Their latest single, Running (2025), drives this shift, a pulsing, confessional track that pairs hidden desire and inevitability. It is to be followed by their upcoming single CRASH, set for release on April 15, 2026, leaning further into the band’s raw, chaotic edge. It follows Something More (2024), which won the QLD OzIndi Top 50 and highlighted the band’s ability to fuse heartfelt lyricism with spacey, sparkling production. Earlier releases, including When You Go and the Delirium EP, earned spins on U.S. station KXFM and AMRAP chart recognition, cementing their standing as a band with both reach and resonance.

On stage, Lucid Safari lean into intensity and connection, from festival bills, to sold-out Brisbane shows, an independent 13-date east coast run, and support slots for Aus music legends. In support of CRASH, the band will tour across Coffs Harbour, Ballina, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast throughout late April and early May 2026.

With each release, the band refine their sound without losing their edge, a blend of nostalgia and modern indie-rock that feels as immediate as it does expansive.
