Lucid Safari are a Brisbane/Meanjin band weaving indie-rock grit with dreamlike textures, balancing raw energy with melodic depth. Fronted by songwriter and guitarist Daniel J. Lewis with Alex Cremin (bass) and Nic Ross (drums), the band are pushing into a new chapter marked by darker grooves and sharper edges.

Their latest single, Running (2025), drives this shift, a pulsing, confessional track that pairs hidden desire and inevitability. It follows Something More (2024), which won the QLD OzIndi Top 50 and highlighted the band’s ability to fuse heartfelt lyricism with spacey, sparkling production.
